The May Day Tug-Of-War Celebration

The labor’s day, it is a common festival for the harder workers all around the world. And on this special day the Rongxing Company organized a thrilling tug-of –war competition for our colleagues both from Nigeria and and China.
 The competition will be divided into 9 groups which include 5 production groups: Mill workshop, Refining workshop, Conntinuous Casting workshop, scrap iron, Oxygen and Nail workshop. And the 3 functional groups which are Infrastructure, administration, public relations and finance department. And there were 2 of Chinese and 8 Nigerian representatives included. And there are a great many of people gathered around the office building on the occasional day which showed great meaning for this event.
The event started at four o’clock in the afternoon on May 1, and all the teams assembled in front of the office building. The fierce battle started when the referee preached the rules briefly.
The spirit became very  tense after the event get started. The two leading teams started immediately  with all their effort in case they would lose the spirit. And all the participants devoted all their power to pull the rope. Many of the players got hands with blisters after the match. It was understandable for all of them to win the race, and sadly 4 of the 8 groups qualified for the semi-final, whichare the groups from Mill workshop, Refining workshop, and the admin and functional department.

The Admin department, win the championship for the last time event. And it is hard to imagine for  this time which group will laugh to the last as all of them seems so full of energy. And very sadly the rain started as we almost defined the victory. On the other side it is good to rain cool down the hot weather for a event like this. And finally the referee announced the first place for both the Functional department and the Refining department.  As for the second place are the admin department and Casting Department.

There is always win or lose in a match, the losing side want get started over and the winners are cheering. But also we have to remember friendship is in the first place and match second, and this is also a traditional virtues of the Chinese. Let’s keep up the good work and carefully prepare for the next game.
